Acquired Brain Injury

Our person-centred approach ensures all rehabilitation programmes are specific to individual lifestyles and requirements. We provide an on-going assessment of a patient’s progress in their abilities and level of independence, allowing for all goals to be adjusted depending on progress.

Our rehabilitation specialists deliver a complete range of services, including multi-disciplinary assessments, individual in-patient programmes, out-patient treatment and follow-up services, as well as skills honing and top-up rehabilitation for patients who need to brush up on skills or learn new ones.

Our programmes combine physical therapies with skill-building activities and counselling, to provide social and emotional support. We use the latest technologies to optimise all possible functional outcomes and achieve quicker results.

Treatments for ABI include, but are not limited to:

  • Physiotherapy
  • Psychological counselling
  • Splinting
  • Occupational therapy
  • Speech and language therapy
  • Driving assessments and lessons

A Multi-Disciplinary Team

Patients are admitted under the care of one of our specialist consultants. A multi-disciplinary team, with specialist expertise in rehabilitation, will then co-ordinate the care of the patient. Every patient also has a named key worker, who is the principal liaison for the patient, family and the care team.
