THE HISTORY OF THE ROYAL BUCKINGHAMSHIRE HOSPITAL

Originally opened in the 1830s as the Buckinghamshire Infirmary, The Royal Bucks has a long history of service to the people of Aylesbury. The current building, built by public subscription, was opened in 1862. More recently it was the town's maternity hospital until 1991. In 1994 it became the new home of the private International Spinal Injuries & Rehabilitation Centre and the Marguerite Centre.
