REHABILITATION
The Royal Buckinghamshire Hospital (RBH)
is an independent centre offering well planned, goal orientated multidisciplinary rehabilitation programmes for people with spinal cord injuries, orthopaedic conditions, head injuries, stroke and neurological conditions.
It provides services specifically designed to meet the needs of patients.
A Specialist Spinal Injury Care Pathway and a separate Stroke Care
Pathway have been designed to facilitate rehabilitation and meet the standards identified by the National Service Framework for Long Term Conditions.
Each pathway is described in the RBH Standards for Spinal Injury and the RBH Standards for Stroke Care. Each aims to meet or exceed the standards for rehabilitation and care set by: The British Society of Rehabilitation Medicine (BSRM) and the Care Quality Commission (CQC) as recommended by the Multi-disciplinary Association of Spinal Cord Injury Professionals (MASCIP), and The British Society of Rehabilitation Medicine; National Clinical Guidelines for Stroke; Care Quality Commission respecively.
