Kings Lodge provides slow-stream rehabilitation, longer-term care and specialist nursing care for individuals with an acquired brain injury or progressive neurological condition.

Operating for over 20 years, Kings Lodge has developed an excellent reputation for supporting individuals with complex needs. Providing individuals with the intensive support required to enable them to return home or a longer-term place for those that aren’t able to live independently, Kings Lodge offers a flexible individualised approach.

We run an extensive programme of activities throughout the week both inside the centre in our activities hub but also out in the community. With a team of activities co-ordinators, we aim to provide something for everybody depending on people’s likes, dislikes, interests or hobbies. Each individual is supported to maintain a weekly planner which includes activity sessions, personal trips, therapy and one-to-one time with their named nurse and carer.
With access to a range of specialist therapists, Kings Lodge is able to offer comprehensive rehabilitation programmes to enable individuals to regain function or maintain their current level of function. We provide assessment and goal orientated interventions which can be measured and reviewed regularly to ensure effectiveness.
Speech and language therapy
COMPLEX NURSING CARE
A team of highly skilled, experienced nurses support individuals with a range of complex needs who aren’t at a point where they are able to access an active rehabilitation programme. We support people with respiratory management through tracheostomy care or assisted mechanical ventilation. Our nursing and care team are experienced in management of bowel and bladder, complex feeding regimes or management of pressure sores or wound care.
