Directions & Visiting

Aylesbury is bisected by the A41, the M25 and M1 are within 20 miles. Should you be travelling by train, Aylesbury station is less than a mile away, with taxis readily available.

Parking Facilities

Free parking is available for all patients at The Royal Buckinghamshire Hospital and for family, or friends accompanying them.

There are ample parking spaces, including disabled spaces. The car park’s location gives easy access to the hospital’s main entrance, with reception available as you enter.

Where you are visiting alone, you will appreciate that at times, priority needs to be given to vehicles transporting patients.

Three car parks are available within a few hundred yards of the hospital, two of these are accessible from Buckingham Street and the other from the first slip road on the A4156.

Other Points On Times

Our reception desk is a valuable source of information. You will find staff there whenever the hospital is open, to assist patients, or visitors.

They help to organise testing, medical imaging, consultation, or treatment for the main hospital and can do the same for our rehabilitation patients, although they will often be accompanied by rehab staff,

When you first arrive, you should be expected and reception will request a suitable staff to take you to the rehab centre. Once there, our specialist staff will ensure their patient is comfortably settled in.

Visiting times are longer in rehab, with friends and family welcome from 10am to 10pm. There can equally be a need to fit with your schedule, The Royal Bucks is a flexible place and we will try to help.

The time treatment will take, or length of stay for inpatient treatment is a natural thought. With each patient’s needs being unique, your consultant and other staff will discuss this with you.

Our patients and the people who care for them deserve the finest facilities, to ensure effective rehabilitation.
