Dr. Alketa Licollari is a highly experienced Consultant Dermatologist with over two decades of clinical practice across the UK and Italy. With international expertise, she specialises in general medical dermatology, providing expert care to patients of all ages. Her clinical proficiency includes the management of acute dermatological conditions, skin cancer diagnostics, and minor surgical procedures such as shave and excision biopsies on the face, scalp, and body.
Dr. Licollari previously held Consultant Dermatologist roles at Milton Keynes University Hospital, where she led the Biologic Clinic and oversaw the Acne and Drug Monitoring Nursing Clinic.
She is the Medical Director of several private dermatology clinics, including locations in Harley Street, Mayfair, London; Milan, Cava Manara; and Casale Monferrato, Italy. Across these clinics, she delivers personalised dermatological care, offering comprehensive services such as advanced diagnostics, laser therapy, minor surgical procedures, and state-of-the-art skin cancer screening using dermoscopy and video dermoscopy. Her surgical expertise includes excisions of skin tumors and treatments for warts, keratoses, and melanomas.
Her clinics are equipped to deliver a broad spectrum of dermatological and aesthetic services, including PUVA therapy for psoriasis, vitiligo, and atopic dermatitis; laser treatments for skin tumors, angiomas, vascular malformations, and warts; as well as cosmetic procedures such as CO₂ laser therapy, dye laser, KTP laser treatments, cryotherapy, and UVB phototherapy. She is highly skilled in the use of dermoscopy and video dermoscopy for precise mole mapping and early detection of skin cancers.
Dr. Licollari is also the founder and Medical Director of ERG DERM, a scientifically formulated skincare line designed to prepare, protect, and rejuvenate the skin. ERG DERM combines clinical research with dermatological insight to provide effective anti-aging solutions and treatments for various skin conditions.
With a multidisciplinary approach to patient care, Dr. Licollari is committed to delivering comprehensive, personalised treatment that supports both skin health and overall well-being. Fluent in English, Italian, German, and Albanian, she is able to communicate with and support a diverse international patient base.She is also the author of the Italian medical publication “Pustolosi Subcornea Di Sneddon-Wilkinson e Infezione Cronica Da Trichophyton Rubrum,” reflecting her continued engagement in dermatological research and scholarship.
Research & Teaching
Dr. Alketa Licollari is actively engaged in clinical research and has served as Principal Investigator for major studies, including the British Association of Dermatologists Biologic Interventions Register (BADBIR) and the international PSoHO (Psoriasis Study of Health Outcomes), a three-year observational study on the biologic treatment of moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis. Her involvement with PSoHO began in September 2020, and her work with BADBIR commenced in 2018.
In addition to her research contributions, Dr. Licollari is deeply committed to medical education and service innovation. She played a key role in introducing a more collaborative and efficient model of care in several hospitals, where nurses and doctors work together in integrated teams. Building on this initiative, she founded and leads the start-up project “Nurses and Doctors Working Together,” which promotes multidisciplinary cooperation in clinical settings.
Dr. Licollari has delivered lectures and presentations on key dermatological treatments, including Acne Antibiotics, Ciclosporin, Isotretinoin, and Methotrexate. She also contributed to the British Association of Medical Dermatology’s 2020 national audit on the management of Hidradenitis Suppurativa and led two “Two-Week Wait” (2WW) skin cancer referral audits in 2018.
Her work reflects a strong commitment to advancing dermatological science, improving healthcare delivery, and fostering collaborative practice across the medical profession.
