Meet Hannah our Brain Injury Coordinator and Counsellor
Hannah is our Brain Injury Co-ordinator who supports patients who come to us following a brain injury. Hannah works with our multidisciplinary team to facilitate therapeutic activities and rehabilitation on the ward, in the gyms and in the community.
Neurologic Music Therapy at Royal Bucks
At Royal Bucks, we offer Music Therapy as part of our holistic and dynamic approach to treatment, preparing a person-centred care plan for each patient. In partnership with Chiltern Music Therapy, we have been delivering Neurologic Music Therapy (NMT) to our patients since 2015. NMT is the therapeutic use of music applied to sensory, speech and language, cognitive, and motor injuries after a neurologic event or diagnosis.
Dolphin game technology, MindPod, may repair the brain of stroke patients
The game gives patients a jolt which stimulates more effective brain repair. It is like neuro-animation and uses motion-sensitive cameras to track movements made by the person's arm.
