Dr. Arif Hussenbux is a Consultant Gastroenterologist based in Buckinghamshire. He offers expert care in general gastroenterology, with a subspecialist interest in liver, biliary, and pancreatic conditions.
His clinical interests include common gastrointestinal issues such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), abdominal pain, bloating, and gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD). Known for his compassionate, patient-focused care, Dr. Hussenbux ensures each consultation is relaxed and allows time for thorough discussion and understanding.
Dr. Hussenbux is proficient in a wide range of advanced endoscopic procedures, including gastroscopy, colonoscopy, polypectomy, endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP). He is also experienced in stent placement and stricture dilatation, providing both diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.
He graduated from Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2014, where he was awarded the prestigious Goldberg-Schachmann and Freda Becker Bursary. He completed his specialist training in the Oxford deanery and served as a trainee representative for the British Society of Gastroenterology. He went on to undertake an advanced fellowship in hepato-pancreato-biliary medicine at St. James’s University Hospital in Leeds.
Dr. Hussenbux leads the Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB) service at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust, where he was instrumental in establishing Endoscopic Ultrasound—a transformative addition to the Trust’s services. He is also an enthusiastic educator, contributing to the Oxford Upper Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Training Faculty.
