What to expect from your appointment
Your consultation is designed to bring clarity and direction. Depending on your needs, this may include:
- Review of symptoms, diagnoses, and medical history
- Medication review and rationalisation where appropriate
- Assessment of function (mobility, balance, confidence) and day-to-day independence
- Consideration of memory/cognition and emotional wellbeing where relevant
- A clear summary of findings and a practical plan, including next steps and coordination with your GP/specialists (where appropriate)
Consultation Fees
For self funded care, or other routes, a referral letter from a GP, or another doctor is normally required to see a consultant.
Patients using medical insurance should be fine, as all our consultants work within acceptable fee levels. Consultation prices start from £175
Initial Geriatric Consultation: £350
Follow-up Consultation: £175
Consultants at our hospital are renowned, senior physicians or surgeons. They will be on the General Medical Council’s specialist register, along with belonging to specialist bodies.
